why don't you leave?

I'm really tired of hearing people complain about their hometowns. Most of them will be here for around a week, probably less, and they still feel the need to complain. Where do I start with the annoyances?
If your parents are making you come home for Christmas, then do just that. Come on the 23, spend the 24 and 25 with your family, then leave on the 26. Three days. You will probably stay in your pajamas at home the entire time anyways, the exact same thing you'd be doing in [Insert University/Big City Name Here].
If you are here for longer, make the most of it and see your friends. Nobody's asking you to go out clubbing while you're here for the holidays, nobody probably cares if you do. If you actually care, maybe you need to rethink what's important to you if you can't go one week without going to a club.
If you live here, and complain and hate it so much, why don't you leave? Myself and plenty of other people have gone travelling, so go do that. If it's about money, you can probably find a job ANYWHERE CLOSER TO VANCOUVER THAN HERE.
I mean, really, let's figure this one out. Okay, you want to move to Vancouver. You will need $200 for a plane ticket. $100-$150 for your parents to drive you (which is more likely, because your complaining shows a lack of money on your part, which means you spend it all on useless crap that you need to tote around). Then you'll need first and last months rent, so, realistically, around $1600. So, $1600 + $150 = $1750. If you get a full time (be real, you have nothing better to do) job at McDonalds, starting at $8.50 (that's probably training wage, now?), you can make that in a month and a half. And, seeing as you probably won't work at McDonalds, and will get an actual minimum wage of $9.75 down, that cuts down the time it will take to save the money. Most franchises/national chains will be able to transfer you to a place down there, and most small businesses will have connections, or look good on a resume for a similar position. So homies living here, you have nothing to complain about. Leave. Sick of your toxic attitude.
So, the long and short of it is this, people. This is where you grew up. Or at least where your family is. So for one week out of the frigging year, shut up and make the most of being back here. At least we have a ski hill.
