Sunday

Hey all! So yesterday was absolutely beautiful! I went to the park and watched a couple basically have sex with clothes on, then went out for dinner! We went to a Grill Haus that's less than a block away from our residence, and has a lovely patio! I split a giant plate of meat with someone, and it was only moderately regretted!

PDA is very common

Enjoying the view

Meat Plate

Prost!
Heading off to Paris on Wednesday, bet you guys can't wait for good blog posts again!!

Vida

So it's pretty tough to find things to post about when you're just posting about your life. Living in such a beautiful city is something you try to take in, and each moment is great enough to be picture worthy- but I have to remember to make memories, not just take pictures. Here's some more of what I've been up to, when I remember to bring a camera out.
Jill and I have booked our trip to Barcelona! We're waiting on Taylor to finalize her flights, too. I'll be there from June 27- July 14!! We're planning on going hiking and laying on the beach. Mostly laying on the beach!
We celebrated St Patrick's day with a green Stiegl at an Irish pub that was completely PACKED- like wall to wall filled with people. Didn't hear any Irish accents, unfortunately.
Found this near the first district. Mom, Dad, Spence and Mary- you can be a big pig, too!!

It's been such nice weather this past week, we've spent a lot of time picnicking and eating outdoors, hanging out in the Prater.

Missing you all. I'll be traveling a lot startin April 2, so there will be so many updates coming your way from Paris, Budapest, Verona and Slovenia!

sunshine on my shoulders

It`s been so sunny and lovely the past few days (19C today!!) so we`ve been having some lovely times in parks with picnics and just strolling about.

Right: Went for dinner at Mariahilferstraße and had a lovely sunset on my walk back to the UBahn.

Below: Yesterday was gorgeous so a few of us went for a picnic at Stadtpark. It reminded me of Central Park so much- absolutely gorgeous. Because it was so nice out it was also absolutely packed!

Right: Went for a sunset stroll at the Prater last night. Because we`ve had such cloudless days, around dusk it becomes absolutely gorgeous and full of colour.

Below: Another shot at Prater, the small swings at the entrance.

Right: It looks a bit cloudy but it was just absolutely stunning today. We went for a picnic at Donau and it was just absolutely perfect weather.

Below: A whack of exchange students that showed up for our picnic today, enjoying sunshine, music, and great company
.

Music and a journal are really all one needs while lying in the sun!

extras

Some pictures from being out and about.

Right: Devan and I ate Krapfen for Fasching! (We ate an apricot-jelly filled donut for carnival- tradition in Austria, although you can find Krapfen year round!)

Right: Taylor, Sam, Katy, Me, Jill. The British Columbia girls, minus Megan!

Below: The swings at Prater. It's currently open for weekends, but once Spring has fully sprung it'll be open on the daily.

Above: I went to the 25Hour Hotel, which has a rooftop patio bar/cafe. This is me posing.

Right: The melange I got at the rooftop bar/cafe.

Below : Panorama of the view. Absolutely stunning day today.

my blog game is ill

Woo quick shoutout because it's been less than a week since I last blogged and I have cool stuff to show everyone from that time frame! I'm on top of it!
So yesterday our one class was cancelled so Jill and I went to Schloß Schönbrunn!

It's a former imperial summer residence built in the 15th century. The gardens are incredibly intricate and absolutely beautiful (and free to walk around!) and you could also go in and tour the palace (which we didn't...not free). I'm so excited to visit it in the springtime, as all the flowers and trees will be in full bloom!

We also got some great photos of ourselves doing adorable things and being generally the cutest people ever.

I tried to get a picture of Jill in front of this gate. And this chick walks directly in front of me, stops, and decides it was the perfect spot to eat her sandwich. We laughed so hard we were in tears.

Thanks, strange lady.

We finally got a photo of Jill in front of the gate.

We took some very romantic photos on this bench.

And some very serious photos

Some more cute photos.

And I have gained the ability to apparate the upper half of my body so it appears to be detached from my lower half.

                I stood on some stairs.

And generally rocked on with my bad self.
Missing you all!
Hope you're enjoying the pictures!

Sunday, March 2, 2014

So I haven't been blogging and that is solely because I forgot. I am in school and right now my classes are super busy and I just haven't been interesting, so...sorry!

But here are some photos (a lot more than a normal person who hasn't been interesting should have!) so hopefully they all make up for my lack of posts!!

Also, if you click on one of the pictures, the album should come up, so you can scroll through that way!

We've had some beautiful sunsets near our home

Jill gets very excited about sunsets
Jill also gets very excited about pretzel sticks.

We wandered the streets of Vienna at night. This is Stephansdom.

Austrian National Library at night

I made pancakes for a roommates brunch!

Gio made Italian cappuccinos
My cappuccino after swirling it with a spoon

We went to Mariahilferstrasse for shopping on a beautiful, sunny Saturday

Another sunset as we cross the street to our apartment! Absolutely stunning.
Happy Sunday lovelies. Spend it well!
